Event Location
The Yarraman State Forest is situated near the regional town of Yarraman in the South Burnett region of South East QLD. This exotic pine and native hardwood plantation was first used for the QLD Champs back in 2008. The map below shows the area in relationship to Brisbane and the travel route along the D'Aguliar highway from Brisbane. Driving time from Brisbane is approx. 2.5 hours. The Yarraman township is the base for both events and is also the site for the accomodation centre.
Please note there are major road work on the Blackbutt range on the way from Kilcoy to Yarraman. Traffic is only open in one direction at a time. Heading to Yarraman, the lights go green on the hour and half hour, so time your travel to arrive just before those times, otherwise it means a half hour wait. Heading home from Yarraman arrive just before quarter past of quarter to the hour for the down hill direction.
Please also note that there is a major music festival in the Woodford area from 29-31st July, so if you're travelling past Woodford allow extra time for the increased traffic.
